Founded by Edran Yeo & Muhammad Ehsan, the firm has since evolved itself into a modern and trustworthy establishment, providing necessary remedies whilst keeping the client’s best interest at heart. EDRAN YEO KHAI NENG
(FOUNDING PARTNER)
Edran Yeo is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn, London, England, called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 6th January 2020 and founded the firm alongside former partner (now prosecutor) Muhammad Ehsan in 2021.
Formerly serving a period of pupillage under Liza Chan & CO. (Currently known as The Honourable Judge YA Liza Chan) Edran has been vastly exposed towards litigation matters throughout his span of chambering. As a result, he is immensely well-versed & adept when it comes to dispute resolution and family matters. He has also attached himself to the legal firm Ong & Partner and has attained adequate knowledge on conveyancing matters during his period of service.
Throughout his years of practice, Edran has successfully gathered numerous legal experiences revolving around civil litigation, criminal litigation and conveyancing matters. With that said, He has acted for several financial institutions involved in allegations of trust caveat with land recovery. He has notably represented shareholders in the compulsory winding-up & provided them with legal business aid. He has also assisted creditors in the creditors’ voluntary liquidation in creditors’ meetings and debt recovery affairs.
By bringing his capabilities and experiences to Labuan, he is able to establish a multi-practice firm that touches numerous categories of law in the legal profession. He aims to assist the elderly in drafting wills and probate as well as to provide his clientele with sufficient legal knowledge in order to ease their plight and act upon their complications. Bounded by compassion and justice, Edran also provides pro bono services to those in need of legal aid, especially regarding matters in criminal litigation & citizenship disputes.
Through his firm “Ehsan and Yeo”, Edran intends to make legal care accessible to all as he firmly stands his ground on the notions of equality. By initiating his firm with noble intentions, he hopes to preserve the integrity of his practice by servicing those in need and delivering satisfactory results.
KARYN GOH SZE WEI (MANAGING PARTNER)
Karyn was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 4th March 2016 and has officially joined the firm in 2022. She currently manages the firm alongside founding partner, Edran Yeo.
Having graduated with Upper Second Class Honours from University of West of England, she has decided to return to Malaysia upon pursuing her pupillage under Messr Koo Chin Nam & CO . Throughout her chambering period, she immersed herself in general litigation cases including debt recovery, family law, probate and administration matters which enabled her to learn the essence of teamwork and thus, enhancing the efficiency in future legal dealings.
Upon the completion of her tutelage, Karyn resolved to widen her horizons by involving herself in conveyancing matters and was given the opportunity to do so at Messrs Ferida, Hassan, Low & Ng. As a legal associate, she accustomed herself to handling, preparing and attending to legal documents relating to conveyancing matters from the initial stage until the completion stage such as sub-sale transaction, perfection files and tenancy agreement. In order to broaden her experiences & knowledge about the corporate field, she has also decided to briefly work as a legal advisor for a telecommunication company (XOX Berhad) where she carries the tasks of collaborating with the CFO group and assisted the team in regulatory compliance and contract disputes, drafting legal documents for the company as well as conducting legal research and preparing legal briefs to support litigation efforts.
With her accumulated experience in various areas of law, Karyn finally decided to establish a prolonged and fulfilling career at Ehsan and Yeo as a conveyancing lawyer as she sees real estate, problem-solving skills and the client-centric nature of conveyancing law as her true passion. Her experiences & pragmatic approach towards problems enables her to provide expert advice to clients on property purchases, sales, and transfers, addressing their concerns and safeguarding their interests. Having her client’s best interest at heart at all times, she actively synergizes with real estate agents, bankers, mortgage brokers, and other professionals to facilitate seamless transactions.
Bound by her endeavor to provide quality legal service, Karyn continues to expose herself to challenging cases and finds gratification upon carrying them out successfully.
